Features

  • TENCEL™
Made with 100% Tencel fabric, guaranteeing a level of quality we’re proud to put our name to. Produced from wood pulp from sustainably managed tree farms, the fibres are compostable and biodegradable, with a much lower carbon footprint than traditional fabrics.
  • Lightweight and breathable
Light as a feather and incredibly breathable, absorbing 70% more moisture than cotton for a drier sleeping environment (that’s for the baby, but you’re welcome to sleep in it too, Mum). The absorbency makes it almost impossible for any bacteria to grow on the fibre making it more hygienic than other fabrics.
  • Lasting softness
Softer than silk, our baby slings have a satin-smooth finish, ensuring comfort for the most sensitive skin. Tencel fibres are known to last longer and withstand repeated wash cycles compared to cotton, meaning our wraps won’t rub, chafe, or lose their hold while you’re wearing them. The softness will last until you don’t need us anymore - and even after that!

Better Bonding & Less Crying

During the early stages of your baby's life, being close to a parent is essential. It's been proven that babies that are held by parents have reduced anxiety and are able to develop quicker in the early months, mentally and emotionally. Plus studies show carried babies cry 43% less. Game changer.

Buttersoft Fabric For Endless Comfort

Produced from 100% Tencel™, the highest quality fabric in babywearing. Fits to your individual body shape and distributes baby's weight perfectly. The result? Cloud like comfort for both you and baby all day long. (And none of the back pain that comes with other carriers!)

Why Tencel is the no.1 choice for sustainability

  • TENCELTM vs Viscose
  • TENCELTM vs Cotton
  • TENCELTM vs Organic Cotton

TENCELTM vs Viscose

There is virtually no waste from the process of making Tencel as more than 99% of the water and solvents used are recycled through the same process over and over again.

The solvents used to make standard viscose are not as friendly :( and not recycled, the waste is often dumped into our rivers and its emissions into our air

TENCELTM vs Cotton

Tencel uses very little water and land mass in its production in comparison to Cotton.

The excessive usage of water and land is the main environmental criticism of cotton production. The fibre yield of Tencel is also much greater for every 1 cotton shirt, 10 Tencel shirts can be made.

TENCELTM vs Organic Cotton

Many organic cotton products start from an organic cotton field, but during production many chemicals are used which no longer makes the fiber organic. Unless it is GOTS certified (like our organic cotton in our triangle bras), harmful chemicals may still be present in the production process. Only one non-toxic organic solvent is is used to make Tencel.

A very nice and comfortable sling, nice thin breathable fabric. On the bad side, had to pay extra 16€ taxes in Germany.

Making life so much easier

After my second c section this has been a lifesaver - both me and baby number two love it, it’s comfort and it’s convenience. I can’t believe I got through baby number one without one! Don’t hesitate to buy, especially if you are a mum to a toddler already!

Best purchase to date!

I’m totally over the moon with this sling. The material is super soft and gentle but it also provides the support you need day to day. My little one loves being so close to me but it also allows you the freedom you need to get on with your day!! I’d highly recommend this to anyone thinking of a sling. Brilliant product and a great variety of colours.

Beautiful quality sling, making me excited for birthing my baby!

I ordered a freeriders baby sling after seeing them advertised on social media and being recommended by friends. I’ve watched numerous tutorials showing how with a bit of practise these slings make for carrying a baby easy and comfortable. I’m due to have my first child in June and having my sling makes me feel that one more bit prepared and excited for the future! Thank you! X
